We are sad to announce that on April 17, 2026, at the age of 83, Jerome Patrick Whelan of Mount Pearl, Newfoundland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur and Josephine (Wall); and his sisters, Mercedes (Don Phelps), Monica Pace, Joan (Bill Murphy) and Eileen (Pat Woodford).
He is survived by: his children, Susan (Albert), Jerome (Kendra) and Darren (Allison); the mother of his children Ruby Whelan; his grandson Adam Whelan; and his sisters, Dorothy (late Bill Wade) and Patricia (Boyd Wheeler). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 19th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Barrett's Funeral Home - Mount Pearl (73 Commonwealth Ave, Mount Pearl, NL A1N1W7). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 20th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Barrett's Funeral Home Mount Pearl Chapel - Mt. Pearl (73 Commonwealth Ave, Mount Pearl, NL A1N1W7).
