He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Byrne and Frances Byrne. He is survived by: his wife June; his children, Janis (Steve Wedgwood) and Kevin (Gayle Stockley); his siblings, Mary Fahey (Ray), Elizabeth Barnes (late Richard), Sheila Hennessey (Mike), Catherine Conway (Bob), Maureen Quinn (late Jim), Ron (Agnes Murphy), Mercedes Maher (Gerry), Gerry and Paul Byrne; and his brothers-in-law, Gerry Maher and Richard Barnes. He is also survived by numerous nephews, great-nephews, nieces and great-nieces.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Caul's Funeral Home (84 Lemarchant Rd, St. John's, NL A1C2G8). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Caul's Chapel (84 Lemarchant Rd, St. John's, NL A1C2G8). The inurnment will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (799 Topsail Rd, Mount Pearl, NL A1N3J6).
In keeping with Ken's love for animals and community spirit, donations in his memory may be made to the SPCA or to a charity of one's choice.
