She was predeceased by: her parents, Rachel and Harold; and her grandparents, Annie, Ben, Lydia and Jacob.
She is survived by: her husband Ivan; her children, Amy (Jeff), Wanda and Ian (Tracy); her grandchildren, Nick (Olivia), Laura (Josh), Liam, Rachel and Chloe; her great grandchild Bennett; and her cousin Diane Abbott. She is also survived by sisters, as well as many nieces and nephews, her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, and a large circle of friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Barretts Funeral Home (73 Commonwealth Ave, Mount Pearl, NL A1N1W7). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Barrett's Funeral Home Mount Pearl Chapel - Mt. Pearl (73 Commonwealth Ave, Mount Pearl, NL A1N1W7).
The family gratefully accepts flowers or donations may be made in Marie's memory to the Alzheimer's Society.
