She was predeceased by: her husband Gerry Simmons; her parents, Donald Fisher and Ella Fisher; her parents-in-law, Sgt. Max B and Edith Simmons; her brother Ernest; and her brothers-in-law, Max and Wayne.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kerri (Ralph Hausot) and Krista Pitcher (Dave); her grandchildren, Benjamin, Joey and Hannah Pitcher; her brother-in-law Montgomery (Monty); her brother Doug; her sisters-in-law, Ruby Fisher of Bonavista and Doris Simmons; and her caregiver Mercy Hospital. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, and many friends.
As expressions of sympathy, memorials in Marilyn's memory may be made to the First United Church, Park Avenue, Mount Pearl, or to St. Patrick's Mercy Home, Elizabeth Ave, St. John's.
