He was predeceased by: his parents, Bridget Hackett and Michael Hackett; his parents-in-law, Geraldine and William Brake; his siblings, Edward, Walter, Allan, Rona, Ignatius and Karl; and his siblings-in-law, Violet, Helen and Robert Brake.
He is survived by: his significant other Nancy; his daughters, Jessica and Kaitlyn; his siblings, Reginald, Thomas (Martha), Gerard (Mary), Brendan (Holly), Velita (Michael McCarthy), Ann and Donna (Darren Donahue); and his sisters-in-law, Philomena, Millie, Eva, Linda (John Brake) and Lisa Wells. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Barrett's Funeral Home - Mount Pearl (73 Commonwealth Ave, Mount Pearl, NL A1N1W7).
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Gathering Place or St. Vincent de Paul, Calvary Baptist Church.
