He was predeceased by: his parents, William Sheppard and Gwendolyn Sheppard; his sisters, Jean Gandier and Joan Newman; and his brothers-in-law, Russ Griffith, Arnold Gandier and Pearce Newman.
He is survived by: his wife Christine (Bannister); his children, Jerry Blackwood, Nicolle Garrett (Jason), Heather Sheppard (Mike Reader) and Bill Sheppard (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Michael, Abigail, Cole, Dominic, Sam, Alex, Nicholas and James; his sisters, Rona Drewell (John), Iris Webb (Henry), Gwen Crocker (Harvey) and Ruby Griffith; his niece Denise Newman; his siblings-in-law, Gwen Bannister (Tom Maloney), Joyce Bannister, Jacqueline Bannister (Cliff LeFrense), Colin Bannister (Kim), Andrew Bannister and Glen Bannister (Susanna); and his close friends, Randy and Sharon Bishop.
