He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Nicholl and Carry Nicholl; his father-in-law Walter Newman; and his sisters, Sharon Knight and Muriel Luft.

He is survived by: his significant other Joanne; his daughter Rhonda Evans (Trevor); his grandchildren, Jacob and Abby; his mother-in-law Ruth Newman; his sisters, Mary Vivian (Boyd), Ruby Grimes (Stan), Millie Holden (Mike) and Caroline Roberts (Ron); and his siblings-in-law, Linda Dugas (Kevin), Karen Clarke (Steve) and Lesley (Joan). He is also survived by nieces and nephews, extended family, colleagues, and friends.

As expressions of sympathy donations may be made in Ronald's memory to the S.P.C.A or the Canadian Cancer Society.
