He was predeceased by: his parents, William Poole and Johanna Poole; his sisters, Patricia Keefe, Bridget Power (Patrick), Iris Doyle (Thomas) and Sharon Beck; and his father-in-law George Tobin.

He is survived by: his wife Theresa; his siblings, Jean Wheeler (Randy), Marilyn Day and Thomas Poole; his mother-in-law Marion Tobin; his siblings-in-law, David Beck, Thomas Tobin (Selena), George Tobin (Lynette), Phillip Tobin (Roberta), Randy Tobin (Alice), Brian Tobin (Ella), Graham Tobin (Ellen) and Lisa Tobin (Gladys Tobin); and his great-niece Ava.
