He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth; his parents, Frederick Janes and Tryphena Janes; and his sister Gloria. He is survived by: his parents-in-law, Aquilla and Mary Barnes; his children, William "Blair" Janes (Trudy), Trina Mackey and Troy Janes (Andrea); his grandchildren, Jonathan (Haley), Elizabeth, Oliva, Laura, Aaron and Cameron; and his siblings-in-law, Florence (Randy), John (Beryl) and Aquilla (Jack).
