George Sterling Steele Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Sterling Steele of Musgrave Harbour, Newfoundland, who passed away on February 16, 2026, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathan Steele and Amelia Steele; his daughter Lynn Steele; his grandson Nathaniel Steele; and his siblings, Miriam McCallum and James Steele.

He is survived by: his wife Mae; his children, Gregory (Melinda) of Wesleyville, Brent (Tina) of Musgrave Harbour, Stephen (Darlene) of Grand Falls, Peter of Oshawa, Jamie (Angela) of Grand Falls and Margaret Steele of Paradise; his sister Doreen Guy (Norman) of Musgrave Harbour; his grandchildren, Amanda, Georgia, Jordan, Emily, Hannah, Shauna, Zachary, Megan and Jammelia; and his great grandchildren, Jacob, Amelia, Dawson, Rachael, Natalia, Annalie and Summer.

As an expression of sympathy and in his memory, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
