He was predeceased by: his parents, Manoah Spurrell and Florence Spurrell of Valleyfield; his wife Mildred Spurrell; his children, Glenda and Gary; and his siblings, Madeline (Gilbert), Leah (Jack), Trixie (Robert), Gideon (Annie), Muriel (Isacc) and May (Cluney).
He is survived by: his children, Todd (Dawn), Bruce (Nancy) and Bobbi (Justin); his grandchildren, Michael Shelby (Nicole), Nicholas, Robert, Lily, Eric and Anne; and his brother-in-law Isacc (Muriel).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 27th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Wednesday, January 28th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the St. John the Baptist Anglican Church. A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 29th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to The Canadian Cancer society.
