He was predeceased by : his parents, Albert and Polly; his parents-in-law, Margaret and George Ackerman; his siblings-in-law, Sadie, Raymond, Wilfred and Edwin; and his sister Maggie of Indian Bay.
He is survived by : his wife Ada; his children, George (Shermaine) of St. John's, Peter (Megan) of Oshawa, Brenda (Wayne) of Gambo and Michelle (Wayne) of Bowmanville; his grandchildren, Amy (Justin), Brett (Kayla), Kaylah (Jonathan), Melanie (Michael), Evan (Kristen), Jalyssa (Colin), D. B., Dylan (Katie), Lucas and Emilie (Ben); his great grandchildren, Brandan (Hannah), Shayne (Destiny), Cruz, Aaran, Bentley, Carter, Ty, Kellan, Elena, Nova, Zofiah, Kaiya, Oksana, Zhepplen, Charleigh and Maverick; his great great grandchildren, Annabella and Aria; and his brother Harvey (Pauline) of Grand Falls. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
