With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roland John Hunt (Musgrave Harbour, Newfoundland), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 7, 2026 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Hunt and Amelia Hunt (Rogers); and his siblings, Stephen (Melina), Jim (Rose), Kator (Bernice), Felix (Ethel), Jacob (Anne) and Jessie (Zack).
He is survived by: his wife Maud; his children, Brian Alfred Hunt and Cynthia Collins (Chris); his siblings, Percy (Rose), Samuel (Joyce), Harry (Sondra), Arthur (Mary), Marshall (Kay), Wilfred (Linda), Edna Pilgrim (Don) and Myrtle Cochrane (Cecil); his grandchildren, Tyler Ackerman and Adrian Ackerman; and his great grandchildren, Sawyer Ackerman, Zaiden and Zane Ackerman.
As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Alban's Anglican Church Cemetery Fund, Trinity B.Bay, NL.
