He was predeceased by: his parents, Gertrude Sparkes and James Sparkes; his grandparents, Frank and Laura Abbott; his sister Effie Brown; and his aunts and uncles, Joan Abbott, Rose Tulk (Austin), Thomas Abbott and Claude Abbott.
He is survived by: his niece Samantha Brown of Winnipeg, MB.; his aunt Alice Strangemore (Byron) of St. Anthony; and his uncle Frank Abbott (Cheryl) of Ladle Cove.
