He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gill (Jack) and Gertrude Gill; his parents-in-law, Douglas Hammond and Mary Hammond; his siblings, Terry Lindberg Gill, Luke Gill and Stella Simms; his niece Trudy-Lynn Gill; his aunts and uncles, Stella Pye, Sadie Tucker, Irene Skiffington, Clara Gill, Bertha Gill, Jane Blackmore, Dinah Norris, Benjamin Bungay, Harvey Simms, Lester Skiffington, Jesse Gill, Norman Gill, Isaac Gill (Ikey), Ephraim Blackmore and John Norris; and his siblings-in-law, Michael Hammond (Mick), Stephen Probert and Judy Hammond.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his sons, Christopher (Denise), Darryl (Stephanie) and Douglas; his grandchildren, Michael, Daniel and Mary; his siblings, Bruce (Joan), Johnny (Louisa), Sarah Quinlan (Sylvester), Margaret Vincent (Elihu), Cavell Simms (Glenn) and Joanne Gill-Maddick (Donny); his aunts and uncles, Robert Green (Mary), Edward Pye, Rose Vincent (Howard), Daisy Bungay and Doris Simms; and his siblings-in-law, William Hammond (Karen), Mary Blake (Ira) and Maureen Probert.
