With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roy Augustus Laing of Norris Point, Newfoundland, who passed away on May 21, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his wife Johanna; his parents, Walter and Edith; his parents-in-law, Samuel and Maude Hillyard; and his brothers, Clarence, Don (Agnes), Melvin and Ivan (Edith).

He is survived by : his close friend Bessie Upwards; his grandchildren, Michael (Barbie), Roy (Luz), Walter (Kayla), Pauline (Ronald), Darlene (Ron) and Sam (Brenda); and his siblings, Ira (Marjorie), Vera (Wilson), Alice, Irene (Laud), Iris (Milton), Dora (Koylie), Cora (Billy) and Jessie (Bob). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and a large circle of extended family and friends.
