He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Minnie; his parents-in-law, Lucy and Ronald; his siblings, Isaac, Rufus (Sheila), Maisie, Valerie (Gordon) and Rhodena; and his niece Jessica.

He is survived by: his wife Frances (Cochrane); his sons, Byron (Tammy), Murray (Ken), Ron (Sheri), Johnny and Travis (Christa); his grandchildren, Mario, Andrew, Tori, Clara, Aleaha and Aiden; his siblings, Bryant Blanchard (Lola), Lillian Caines (Dawson), Alvin Blanchard (Juanita), Meta Hiscock (Gary), Ward Blanchard and Eva Blanchard; and his close friends, Doreen and Phonce. He is also survived by his brothers- and sisters-in-law; and a large circle of family and friends.
