He was predeceased by : his parents, Clifford Dawe and Janet Dawe; his grandparents, Art and Blanche Dawe; his uncle Herb Dawe; his parents-in-law, Jack and Margaret Hackett; his brother Walter Dawe; and his sister-in-law Janis Dawe.

He is survived by : his wife Lillian; his sons, Matthew (Jenn) and Chris (Jessica); his granddaughter Avery (Matthew); his siblings, Dora Dormer, Kevin Dawe, Glenn Dawe, Freda Chaulk (Clifford), Roselyn Dawe, Ronald Dawe, Eric Dawe (Tina) and Darrell Dawe Angela Dawe (Lisa); his siblings-in-law, Pat (Sandra), Carrie (Tom Power), Bernadette (Don Porter), Leo, Charlie (Savi), Chris (Lisa), Eugene (Tina) and Margie (Dennis Penney); and his friend Bud Davidge.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Fillatre Funeral Home (4 St Marks Ave, Corner Brook, NL A2H 7H7). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Fillatre Funeral Home Chapel (4 St Marks Ave, Corner Brook, NL A2H 7H7).
