He was predeceased by : his wife Marguerite; his daughter Patricia Warrick; his parents, Joseph Whelan and Mary Whelan; and his siblings, Jack, Joseph, Harold, Helen and Josie.

He is survived by : his daughter Mary Pardy (Darren); his son-in-law Bill Warrick; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Rick, Lori and Scott; and his great grandchildren, James, Cayle, Parker, Keaton, Kaylee, Eliott and Everett. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Pasadena Christmas Hamper Association.
