He was predeceased by: his children, Lewis (Madeline), Clifford, Rufus, John (Pauline), Wallace Jr. (Juanita), Hubert (Sherry), Wavey Gunn (Lawrence), Doris Penton (Tony) and Esther Sacrey (Edward); his wife Martha; his grandchildren, Pamela Gunn and Emily Chaytor; and his siblings, Maxwell of Nelson, Esther, Flossie, Carrie and Lucy.

He is survived by: his brother Reginald.
