He was predeceased by: his son Chris; his parents, Stan and Elizabeth; his parents-in-law, Joseph and Margaret Barron; and his brothers, Dick, Bill, Jim, Jerome, Adrian (Annie), George (Helen), Willie, Pat (Claire), Rod, Peter, Sis (Violet) and Ron.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn; his daughters, Karen (Lemonte) and Sandi; his daughter-in-law Renee; his grandchildren, Andrew, Emily, Luke and Dylan; his sisters, Sheila, Flo, Bet, Luci and Neet; his siblings-in-law, Loretta, Ange, Jerome, Jim and Frank; and his brother Phil.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Maher's Funeral Home (11 Veteran's Way, Placentia, NL A0B2Y0). The inurnment was held on Wednesday, September 3rd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Dermot McGettigan Memorial Cemetery (735 Southeast Road, Placentia, NL A0B0B9). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Star of the Sea Hall.
