She was predeceased by: her father Gerard Careen; her siblings, Walter Careen and Marian Mooney; her parents-in-law, Sarah and Clement O'Keefe; and her brothers-in-law, Foncy Careen, David O'Keefe, Clem O'Keefe and Bud Lake.

She is survived by: her husband Hughie O'Keefe; her children, Amy Gibbons, Lisa Nash (Jason) and Hughie O'Keefe (Amanda Dawe); her grandchildren, Annabelle, Jada, Nathan, Claire, Landon, Keira, Miley, Spencer and Sadie; her friend Jill Hann (Earl); her mother Annie Careen; her siblings, Bernadette, Joan Manning (Eugene), Rita McGrath (Roger), Glenda Nash (Denis), Willie Careen (Cathy), Gerard Careen (Annette), Reggie Careen (Cathy) and Dermot Careen (Rhoda Hynes); her brother-in-law Len Mooney; her friend Jeannie Careen; and her caregivers, Jenine MacFadden and Kim D'Angelo.

Visitation was held on Friday, February 6th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM and on Saturday, February 7th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Our Lady Queen of Peace Church. A prayer was held on Friday, February 6th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, February 7th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
