He was predeceased by : his parents, Phillip Joy and Monica Joy. He is survived by : his son Joseph Phillip (Jody); his brother Jack Joy; his wife Molly Joy (Lavina); his daughters, Ann Marie Joy (John), Tina Joy (Johnny) and Tanya Joy (David); his grandchildren, Erik Joy, Vanessa Joy, Ashley Joy (Daniel), Dylan Joy, Calista, Macy Whitten, Alyssa Joy and Mikayla Joy; his great grandchild Adalynn Joy Morris; his stepchildren, Brian (Lisa) and Amanda Goldsworthy (Susan); and his siblings, Theresa Mcguirk, Tom Joy and Hannah Joy.

In lieu of Flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Newfoundland and Labrador.
