Though Matthew may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Spurvey and Ellen Spurvey (McCue); his siblings, Anthony (Loretta), Mary Vinette (late Pierre), Rita (Joseph Kerrivan) and Evelyn Smith (late Gerald); his great-niece Krystal Paul; and his great-nephew Micheal Paul.

He is survived by: his wife Robinson (late Robert). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, and great grand nieces.
