He was predeceased by: his parents, John Dreaddy and Isabella Dreaddy; and his siblings, Jane Foley, Cecilia Myers, Michael and James.

He is survived by: his son Sheldon; his granddaughters, Evelyn and Isabella of Smyrna, TN; his niece Tracey Duke of Dunville, NF.; his siblings, Donna (Kenny), Regina (Brian), Mary (Con), Veronica (Paddy), Francis, Jack, Joe (Christine) and Harold (Nancy); and his siblings-in-law, Molly Dreaddy and Terry Foley.

To honor Richard's memory the family would like to request the donation of a food item to Jane's pantry (created by the Foley family in memory of his sister Jane), located in the Placentia town square.
