It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Valerie Mary Careen (Placentia, Newfoundland), who passed away on April 10, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her grandmother Pop; and her aunt Mary Walsh (Mike). She is survived by : her parents, Margaret (Wilf) and Anthony (Theresa); her siblings, Karen (Joel), Chrissie (Trevor), Eamon and Tony (Janiene); her uncles, Nick Careen (Genevieve) and Tom Careen; her aunt Patsy Careen; her godson Nathan Hickey; her nieces, Alana Careen, Charlotte Hickey, Kendra (Bridgette Greeley) and Victoria (Emily); and her friends, Renee Cooney and Gail Collins. She is also survived by her aunts and uncles and extended family.

While following Covid-19 protocols. Funeral Mass will take place at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia on Thursday, April 15, 2021 @11:00 A. M.., by invitation only, due to Covid-19 restrictions.

Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory to the Epilepsy Association or a charity of your choice.
