She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas Deer; her parents, Lillian Dowden and Peter Dowden; and her brother John Dowden. She is survived by: her children, Robert (Sharon), Judy (Keith), Gordon (Rose) and John (Elsa); her grandchildren, Rodney (Sue), Chris (Danielle), Curtis (Sarah), Melissa (Sam), Andrea (Jake) and Kimberly (Greg); her great grandchildren, Thomas, Michael, Mackenzie, Katelyn, James, Kyle, Lyla, Lexi, Aiden, Grace, Lucy and Norah; her close friend John McGrath; and her brother Cyril Dowden (Lorraine). She is also survived by Mom, as well as her extended family, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear, friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 19th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Maher's Funeral Home (11 Veterans Wy, Placentia, NL A0B 2Y0). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 20th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the St. Martin's Church.
