With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Starkes of Pools Island, Newfoundland, who passed away on November 26, 2020 at the age of 84. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Starkes to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her son Jerry Hoyles of Mount Pearl; and her daughter-in-law Donna Hoyles. She is survived by: her children, Ricky (Judy) of Pool's Island, Peggy (Keith Blanchard) of Paradise and Vicki (John Kean) of Pool's Island; her sisters, Grace (John Kelloway) of Orangeville, Ont and Maxine (Doug Fifield); her grandchildren, Tracy Blanchard, Amy Knee (Steve), Jillian Hunt (Dave), Ashley McAndrews, Brett Hoyles (Hayley) and Spencer Kean; her great grandchildren, Mila Connolly, Everett McAndrews, Lucas Hunt and Jack Knee; and also George Wright (Sharon) of Gander.

Due to COVID restrictions and recommendations, visitation and funeral service will be by invitation only.

As an expression of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made in her memory to The Daffodil Place, St. John's.
