Solomon Joseph Hounsell Obituary

In loving memory of Solomon Joseph Hounsell of Pound Cove, Newfoundland, who departed this world on August 13, 2025 at the age of 84. Solomon leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Hounsell and Mary Hounsell; his wife Verna Cooper; his daughter Lois; and his siblings, Eleanor Nicholl (Fred), Minnie Janes (Wilburforce), Baden, Llewellyn (Dorothy), Wilmore (Agnes), Eli, Melvin and Thomas.

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Liam, Alexa, Andrew Abbott, Abigail and Wyatt; his children, Shane (Susan) of Badger's Quay, Denise of Pound Cove and Tracy (late Nelson) of Wesleyville; and his brother Ellis (Blanche) of Wareham.

In lieu of flowers donations in Sol's memory may be made to The Hounsell family and a decision on monetary disbursements will be made later.
