He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Giles and Jesse Giles of Ramea; his parents-in-law, Margaret and Clyde Pink; his sister Alma Hatcher; and his brother-in-law Joe Meleck.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Jane; his children, Emily (John), Rick (Natalie) and Krista (Darwin); his grandchildren, Shane, Ryan, Caitlin, Kyle, Tyler, Alexander (Kate) and Emma; his great grandchildren, Deegan, Draiden and Loretta; and his siblings, Cecil (Edith), Henry (Mary) and Geraldine. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Fillatre Funeral Home and Chapel (10 Clinic Dr, Deer Lake, NL A8A1E3).
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Western Memorial's Cancer Care Centre or a charity of one's choice.
