She was predeceased by: her husband John; her parents, Phillip Major and Effie Major; her siblings, Gwen, Douglas and Cyril; her in-laws, John, Matilda Butt, Edgar and Amelia Laing; and her brothers, Rohena Major, Micheal Hewlin, John (Nina Grant), Freeman (Enid Pittman), Stanley (Oriella Butt) and Reg (Lida Pretty).
She is survived by: her son Barry (Madonna); her grandson Troy (Jessica); and her stepgranddaughter Sophie.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Parsons Funeral Home (63 Main St N, Deer Lake, NL A8A1X1). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
