With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Robert Shears (Rocky Harbour, Newfoundland), who passed away on May 31, 2018 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Shears and Dorcas May; and his siblings, James W. Shears, Joan White (Jack), Mary Loveys, Alton Payne, Betty Shears, Rendell Snow and Alwin Loveys.
He is survived by: his wife Marie; his children, Robert Shears (Viva) and Bonnie Fowler (Craig); his grandchildren, Joshua Shears, Marissa Shears, Nathan Fowler and Nadia Fowler; his siblings, Pauline Payne, Floyd (Olga), Ben (Georgina), Tom (Bonnie) and Ella Penney (Frank); and his sister-in-law Blanche Shears.
As expressions of sympathy flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to St. Matthews Church Building Fund.
