He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Jane Ellsworth; his son Gary Wilson Ellsworth; his parents, Effie Ellsworth and Eli Ellsworth; his siblings, Karenza, Russell, Woodrow and Leonard; and his parents-in-law, Clyde and Mary Bennett.
He is survived by: his children, Sheila Shears (Wilfred), Karen Majeau (Scott), Colleen Majeau (Grant) and Jason Ellsworth (Sonya); his grandchildren, Stephanie, Justin, Chase, Jessica, Jenna, Devon, Jesse and Austin; his great grandchildren, Jaxon, Zoey and Emma; and his siblings, Ruby (Norman), Lloyd (Ruby), Sarah, Catherine, Mildred, Noel, Marion (Walt) and Dorothy. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Thursday, February 19th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Gros Morne Community Church (40 Main St S, Rocky Harbour, NL A0K4N0). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 20th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
