With sadness, we share the passing of Melita Best of Rose Blanche, Newfoundland. Melita, born on March 15, 1932, passed away on June 27, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Annie Parsons and Jack Parsons; her husband Joseph Best; her parents-in-law, George and Caroline Best; her son Joey Best; and her grandsons, Shane Best and Joshua Best.
She is survived by: her daughters, Gloria (Willie), Diane (Larry), Ethel (Jackie), Verna and Trudy (Rick); her grandchildren, Ann Marie, Jody, Joey, Guy, Caroline, Sonya, Melissa, Jay, Shana, Holly and Matthew; and her siblings, Annie May, John (Mabel) and Willie (Ann). She is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends.
