He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick Whiffen and Rita Whiffen; his sister-in-law Alice Whiffen; and his nephew Sean Whiffen. He is survived by: his siblings, Robert Whiffen Rushoon, Blanche Pitcher Clarenville (Wayne), George Whiffen Rushoon (Emily), Mary Barrett Fort (Roger), Rita Barrett Swift (Randy), Doreen Miller Rushoon (George) and Clarence Whiffen Rushoon; and his pet Boots.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Serenity Funeral Home (95 Main St, Burin Bay Arm, NL A0E 1G0). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 2nd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Sacred Heart RC Church (286 Ville Marie Dr, Marystown, NL A0E2M0). A burial will be held on Tuesday, September 2nd 2025 at the Christ the King RC Cemetery.
