He was predeceased by : his parents, Jesse Smith and Fanny Smith; his parents-in-law, John and Florence Peddle; his brother Fred Smith (Mabel); and his siblings-in-law, Azariah Peddle (Dorothy), Thomas Peddle (Eileen), Leslie Peddle, Mildred Mercer (James), Hortensia Smith (Wellsley), Mabel Hussey (Maxwell), Sylvia Drover, Dorothy and Florence Peddle.

He is survived by : his wife Marguerite; his siblings-in-law, Josiah Peddle (Christine), Arthur Drover and Cavell Sharpe (Tom); and his niece Mary Sutton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews, family, and friends.
