With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jessie Smith of Spaniards Bay, Newfoundland, who passed away on August 14, 2022 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her former life partner David Strickland; her grandson Marcus Dobbin; her parents, Pearl Moore and Clifford Moore; her brothers, Andrew Moore and Jerry Moore; and her nephew Paul A.

She is survived by : her husband Walter Smith; her children, Renée Dobbin (Gary), Diane Strickland (Jake Collins), Garth Strickland (Claudette Marsh), Darryl Smith (Nancy), Karen Gushue (David) and Kendell Smith; her grandchildren, Michael Penton (Brittany Rideout), Tyler Penton, Mitchell Dobbin, Mackenzie Dobbin (Maddy Sheehan), Jennifer Finn (Justin), Matthew Smith and Kayla Smith; her great grandchild Harrison Finn; her siblings, Jim Moore (Barb), Cliff Moore (Carol), Johnny Moore (Shirley), Max Moore (Viola), Carl Moore, Joan Crane (Jim) and Mildred Fitzgerald (Ray); her nieces and nephews, Tracy, Valerie, Colin, Conrad, Gregory, Heather, Jennifer, Jack, Clare, Jillian, Brenda, Jimmy and Adam; and her sister-in-law Muriel.
