He was predeceased by: his former wife Reina Joy G. Ortiz; and his brothers, Bernardo V. Ortiz Jr. and Valentino V. Ortiz. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Ortiz; and his daughter Alyzza G. Ortiz.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the 19th the Carnell Memorial Chapel (329 Freshwater Rd, St. John's, NL A1B 1C3).
