She was predeceased by : her parents, John Best and Elizabeth Carter Pretty Best; her husband Ignatius Leonard; her siblings, Gertrude, Stella, Ida, Bertha, Angela, Ronald and Raymond; and her daughters, Ida Leonard and Theresa Ennis.

She is survived by : her children, Betty (Walter Combden), Andrew (Patricia), Jenny (Allan), Daphne, Audrey (Jim Powell) and Georgina; her son-in-law Jerome Ennis; her grandchildren, LynnAnn (Michael Winsor), Yolanda (Raymond Harnum), Jason Leonard, Crystal Pendergast (Darrell), David Ennis (Tracey), Linda Ennis, Anna White, Sebastian Leonard and Marsha Shea (Ian); and her stepgrandchildren, Kerry Reid (Joanne), Keith Reid (Peggy), Lisa Hibbs (Michael), Lori Rose (Denis), Sherry Powell and Cindy Powell.
