She was predeceased by: her husband Leslie Newhook; her parents, Susan Foster and John Foster; her parents-in-law, Patience and Joseph Newhook; her siblings, Herbert Foster (late Beatrice), Viola Piercey (late Noah), Ray Foster (late Bennett), Joyce Martin (late John), Leander Foster (Dot) and Gladys Foster; and her in-laws, Sam (late Sally), Absalom (late Ruby), Mildred, Erik (late Mary), Selina Smith (late Harold), Elizabeth Forward (late Ken), Sally Wills (late Jack) and Bob (Hazel).

She is survived by: her children, Paul (Charlene), Barry (Jennifer) and Susan (Jared); her grandchildren, Sam (Bridget), Ben, Kathleen (Taya), Henry, Max (Dan), Charlie, Rudy, Ivy, Emma and Leslie; her siblings-in-law, Dot Foster, Hazel Newhook and Joe Newhook; and her close friends, Betty Martin and Maisie Adey.

Visitation was held on Monday, May 19th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Tuesday, May 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Barrett's Funeral Homes - St. John's (328 Hamilton Ave, St. John's, NL A1E1J9). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. John's Salvation Army Citadel (25 Adams Ave, St. John's, NL A1C4Z1). A burial was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 at the Anglican Cemetery (23-1 Empire Ave, St. John's, NL A1C3E4).
