It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anthony Kirkland (St John's, Newfoundland), who passed away on March 7, 2025, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joan Kirkland and James Kirkland; and his friend Tom McGrath. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Kirkland; his daughters, Katie Glynn (Chris) and Krista Barnes (Muriel Boone); his grandchildren, Maddox and Paige Barnes; his siblings, Jim (Betty), Wayne (Sherry), Donny (Marie), Brian (Carolann), Mary Walsh (Kevin) and June Kirkland-Smith (Peter); his sisters-in-law, Heather Bannister (Roy) and Sandy Parker (Brian); his nieces and nephews, Chantel Ryerson, Wayne Kirkland Jr., Jonathan Kirkland, Andrew Kirkland, Micheal Kirkland, Nichole Antle, Melissa Walsh, Dennis Walsh, Justyn Walsh, Catherine Smith, Sheldon Smith, Robert Bannister, Corinne Patey, Nicole Bannister, Alex Parker and Nick Parker; and his friends, Jeff Bungay, Larry Walsh, Gary Thorne, Danny Walsh and Gerard Buckley.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Tony's memory to the Canadian Mental Health Association or Cancer Care Foundation Newfoundland and Labrador, two causes that were close to his heart.
