He was predeceased by : his parents, William King and Mary King; his brother William James King Jr.; and his parents-in-law, Jacob and Elizabeth Smith.

He is survived by : his wife Bernice; his children, Douglas King (Valerie), Larry King (Kim) and Angela Chatman (Stephen); his grandchildren, Brady King, Alyxandra King, Adrianna King, Zackery King and Sophia Chatman; his sister Winnifred Martin (Tom); and his siblings-in-law, Florance Verlinde (late Lawrence), Helen Smith (late Wince), Debbie Scurry (late Wayne) and David Smith (late Aggie).

Donations can be made to St. Philip's Anglican Church.
