He was predeceased by: his son Dale; his parents, Cora Worthman and Melvin Worthman; and his siblings, Ross, Ray, Melvin, Robert, Wince, Yvonne and Carrie.
He is survived by: his wife Beryl; his children, Baxter (Linda), Laurie and Lynn (Tony); his grandchildren, Daimek, Lexie, Anna and Dale; his siblings, Hazen, Chris, Mary (Henry), Sylvia, Marilyn and Valerie; his sister-in-law June; and his niece Nancy.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Basil's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
