It is with sadness that the passing of Beatrice MacKinnon (St John's, Newfoundland) is shared. Beatrice, born on September 14, 1924, passed away on September 2, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Fred; her daughter Lillian "Bea"; her sons-in-law, Gordon Richards and Fred Zillman; and her siblings, Waldo (Murial MacDougall), Roland (Ella MacDougall), Audrey (Ken MacKay), Blanche (Wendall Maynard) and Arlene.
She is survived by: her children, Shirley Bursey (Eric) and Allan MacKinnon (Martin MacNeil); her grandchildren, John, Frederick Zillman (Wendy), Karen Lester (Chris), Lisa Doucette (Scott) and Ashley Richards; and her great grandchildren, Jonah Zillman, Caleb, Kyla, Rylan Zillman, Victor, Clara Doucette and Eva Lester.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carnell's Funeral Home (329 Freshwater Rd, St. John's, NL A1B1C3). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Memorial United Church (1863 Portugal Cove Rd, Portugal Cove-St. Philip's, NL A1M2M8).
