She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Nightingale; her parents, Arthur Rowsell and Minnie Rowsell; her brothers, Cecil Warford (Shirley) and Maxwell Rowsell; her sister-in-law Ruth Payne; her stepgranddaughter Holly Swinimer; her parents-in-law, Edgar and Una Nightingale; her brother-in-law David Nightingale; and her great-niece Laura Green.
She is survived by: her children, Kelly Collins (Dean), Kent Wells (Kim) and Krista Wells; her stepchildren, Scott (Carolann), Steve (Lorrie) and Susie (Stephen); her siblings, Violet "Sis" Monk (Gordon), Smith Rowsell (Florence) and John Payne; her sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Rowsell and Sandra Nightingale; her grandchildren, Candace Collins (Jamie), Cara Collins (David), Danielle Scarff, Mike Nightingale (Megan), Michael Price, Matt Nightingale (Jennifer), Ryan Nightingale (Katrina), Rylie Nightingale, William Swinimer, Emily Mitton (Isaac), Cicero Hope, Stephen Swinimer and Heather Swinimer; and her great grandchildren, Mia, Gage, Elena, Ryder, Joseph, Grayson, Preston and Kaitlyn.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Carnell's Funeral Home (329 Freshwater Rd, St. John's, NL A1B1C3). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Salvation Army Cemetery (84-88 Blackmarsh Rd, St. John's, NL A1E1S8). A burial will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at the same location.
