She was predeceased by: her parents, Agnes Dyke and Roland Dyke of Port Union; her brother Robert "Bob" Dyke; and her brother-in-law Roy Sweet. She is survived by: her husband Edric Saint; her children, Sandra Parsons (David) and Wayne Saint (Connie); her siblings, Clayton Dyke (Millicent), Barry Dyke (Annette) and Gladys Sweet; her sisters-in-law, Verlin, Roxanne, Glenda Saint (Robin) and Jean Osorio (Rene); her grandchildren, Krista Mitchell (Cody), Kayla Finlay (Glenn) and Kelly Grainger (Justin); her great grandchildren, Brooke, Owen, Charlotte, Anna, Declan and Bennett; and her friend Fred Babstock. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Barrett's Funeral Home (328 Hamilton Ave, St. John's, NL A1E1J9). A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Barrett's Memorial Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, donations can be made in Cavell's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of one's choice.
