We are sad to announce that, on December 18, 2022, at the age of 80, Cecilia Mary (Whelan) Bowen (St John's, Newfoundland) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Whelan and Sadie Whelan; her siblings, John, George, Richard and Sister Josephine; and her nephew Dean Kielly.

She is survived by: her husband Richard; her children, Ricky (Ruby), Gerard (Denise), Desi (Sheila) and Jeana (Dana); her grandchildren, Vincent, Travis, Devon, Brady (Kayla), Ryland (Teddy), Aniessa, Kayla and Jake; her siblings, Basil (Laura), Nancy (Terry), Uriel (Angus) and Joanne; her sisters-in-law, Ruth, Mary and Madeline; her goddaughters, Jeanette Barron and Ena Gibbons; her pet Lucy; and her caregivers, Sarah Squires, Agnes Squires, Samantha Skelly and Shannon Critch. She is also survived by many cousins, relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
