He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Vey and Julia Vey; and his siblings, Reg, Petley (Ada), Harvey (Margaret) and Joyce Morris.
He is survived by: his wife Joan (Thistle); his sons, Fernleigh (Doreen) and Blair (Deborah); his grandchildren, Beverly Vey-Kuntz (Spencer), Dustin Mclaughlan (Ally), Kaitlin Vey and Timothy Vey; his siblings, Sybil Blackmore (late Job) and Raye Vey (Vernita); his sisters-in-law, Ruth Vail (late Bill) and Glenys Quinn (Don); and his caregivers, Philip, Tyrone, Michael and Chesley. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
