He was predeceased by: his wife Carmel; and his siblings, Ray Johnston, Irma Prescott, Beryl Matheson, Ruby Holbrook and Clifton Johnston.
He is survived by: his children, Gary (Denise), Jeff and Diane Vincer (Rob); his grandchildren, Kate, Jordan and Jenna; his great grandchildren, Thomas, Alice and Callum; and his sister Sandra Atkinson (Ernie).
Visitation was held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Sunday, May 24th 2026 at 2:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the 23rd Carnell's Funeral Home (329 Freshwater Rd, St. John's, NL A1B1C3). The inurnment was held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 at the Forest Road Anglican Cemetery.
