Cyril Synard Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 9, 2026, at the age of 71, Cyril Synard (St John's, Newfoundland) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ambrose Synard and Bella Synard; the mother of his children Christine Synard; and his siblings, Pius, MaryAnn Murphy (Pius) and Kitty Murphy (Ray).
He is survived by: his girlfriend Kathy Hickman; his son Donny (Kelsey); his grandsons, Jack and Ben of Calgary, AB; his daughter Susan Greening (Dylan); his grandson Dawson of Fort McMurray, AB.; his sisters, Madge Murphy (Tom), Daphne Banfield (Kevin) and Helen Reid (Hughie); his sister-in-law Louise Synard; his friends, Randy Trask, Harold Murphy, Ambrose Hickey, Ed Grouchy, Dr. Bill Eaton, Harold Hefferton and Cyril; Barbara Williams, Shawn, Glen (Kathy) and Craig Williams (Denise).
Visitation was held on Monday, May 11th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Barrett's Funeral Home (328 Hamilton Ave, St. John's, NL A1E1J9). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the St. Teresa's Church (120 Mundy Pond Rd, St. John's, NL A1E1V1).
No Flowers. Please – donations are welcomed at the Alzheimer Society NL and the St. Vincent de Paul's Food Bank at St. Teresa's Church in St. John's.
